Lending Library Policies

Eugene Springfield Cloth Bums Group
Lending Library Policies:

To borrow from the lending library you must:
  1. Be a member of the local cloth bums group
  2. You must attend at least 3 local Cloth Bums group meet ups.
  3. Sign up on the cloth bums waiting list via the cloth bums blog (www.clothbumsblog.blogspot.com) or under the documents tab on the FB group.

General Lending Guidelines:
  1. All lending will go through the local Cloth Bums Group Administrator, Lae Morae
  2. One set per person at a time
  3. Sets may only be borrowed once per person
  4. New borrowers have priority over repeat borrowers.

Notification & Pickup:
Once your name comes up on the waiting list, you will be contacted via PM on Facebook. You will have one week to respond via PM to set up a date to pick up the library you are borrowing. If you do not respond within that week or do not show up for your scheduled pickup date/time, your name will be removed from the list and the library will be offered to the next person on the list. If you need to reschedule or cancel your scheduled pickup time, you must provide at least 48 hours notice. If your position gets bumped you will be moved to the bottom of the list. If your name is bumped twice, you will receive a strike against you.

Lending Periods:
All sets will be available for one month periods. The return date will be listed on your Lending Agreement. All sets are expected to be returned in full with no exception.

Returning Lent Items:
All items are to be returned to Lae Morae in full by the due date listed on your lending agreement. All items will be checked back into the library at which time, they will be assessed for damages. Lost/damaged items will count against your cash deposit or charged to your debit/credit card. If you are late returning the set you have loaned out, you are subject to a late fee. (see FEES below). If your items are returned more than a week late, a strike will be assessed against you.

Lost/Damaged Items:
Any missing or damaged items will be counted against the cash deposit made or charged to your credit/debit card. Normal wear and tear will be taken into consideration.

(continued on back)
Deposit:
All borrowers are expected to either pay a cash or provide a credit or debit card for a deposit. If all items are accounted for or returned in the condition they were lent, your deposit will be completely refunded.
CASH: If you choose to pay a cash deposit, you will need to provide cash in the amount to replace the library you are borrowing. When you pick up your loaner set, your deposit money will be counted out in front of you, put into an envelope - with your name and the exact amount enclosed - sealed and photographed. A photo of this envelope will be placed in the library fees album for the local cloth bums group. When you drop off your set, once they have been checked back in, your envelope will be opened in front of you and your money returned in part or full depending on the condition of the items when returned.
CREDIT/DEBIT: If you choose to use a credit/debit card for your deposit, your credit card number and expiration date will be listed on the lending agreement. After the lent items have been returned and checked back into the library, your credit card information will be blacked out on the lending agreement. If there are lost/damaged items, you will be charged the replacement cost plus a 3.25% surcharge.

FEES:
Lending Fee:
All members borrowing from the library will be charged a $5.00 non refundable lending fee. This fee goes back into the library to help purchase more items for the library.
Late Fees:
All late returns will be charged a $10.00 fee for the first week late and $5.00/day for the 2nd week. After 2 weeks late, your cash deposit will no longer be refundable and or your credit/debit card charged for the full replacement cost (including a 3.25% surcharge).
